What is the Focus of This Retreat?
Contemplative Outreach describes Lectio Divina as follows: “Like Centering Prayer, Lectio Divina cultivates contemplative prayer. Unlike Centering Prayer, Lectio Divina is a participatory active practice that uses thoughts, images and insights to enter into a conversation with God.” Father Arico defines Lectio Divina as “a four-step dance with God to read, to reflect, to respond, to rest. It deepens our relationship with God."
Who is Father Arico?

Father Arico is co-author of the book Living Our Priesthood Today (with Father Basil Pennington), and the author of Taste of Silence, a guide to the fundamentals of Centering Prayer.
